what would make you inflict? what would make you commit? is this survival?
in a world of malice
eternal war
this grief is part of me it never ends
severe reality
if we could change
what would come of things if all we know is
guilt, murder, malice, greed
with my own eyes
i witnessed losing peace is it the trauma?
or hell surrounding me
cant trust a soul
it's always lie or cheat twisting the dagger then watch me bleed
hook
this is eternal war in a
world of malice
verse 2
stand face to face
with intent to steal from you
there more than what you want to know but that's the truth
and they would kill
so foolish but they do don't test the limits no time to lose
no hesitation
life could be gone in a second the moment you wanted to move you feel in your gut
in the tension aggression
but people don't think about that i know
so sad the reality checks in
just look around
we live in world of malice living a lesson
hook
this is eternal war in a
world of malice

Romance of Affliction somehow makes an old genre feel brand new. Amazing. I would have swore this album was from 2005 if I didn't see with my own eyes it wasn't. SYSC takes everything good about mid-00s metalcore and brings it into the modern day, leaving behind the trash. It's a pure distillation of the genre with brilliant structure, pacing, and lyrics. The album ebbs and flows, letting emotions swell before punching in with some of the most intense passages I've heard in a while. rettisawesome
Fusing ’90s metalcore, ’00s vaporwave, and ’20s cybergrind, the Texans' debut showcases an unprecedented unholy trinity. Bandcamp New & Notable May 17, 2023
